This video is of an installation and job site sand, stain and finish of a 5/8″ unfinished engineered hardwood floor. This floor is a select Red Oak with Merlot stain. The floor was installed in an old car port that has been remodeled into a family room. We are using a buffer to apply the stain in this case.

I bought a H2O MOP X5 after seeing it on TV a few days back from an online TV shopping company from their website through Google. I was so exited with my purchase as the TV commercial was so cool ! My friend ordered original H2O MOP X5 from TV from Televantage. We compared our products and i feel so bad to lose my money on a fake product. I am still feeling cheated and ripped off 7000 rupees! I don’t want someone else to go through the same ordeal as me – i know how much it pinches !! So please watch this video and be very careful while ordering products from fake companies- do your groundwork before buying.

Question by Amy E: I cleaned my carpet with a steam cleaner and it didnt suck the water back up. What do I do?
When I cleaned my carpet, the steam cleaner didn’t suck the water back up and now the carpet is still wet. It’s been almost a week and I don’t know what to do. I don’t want it to mold because I can’t afford to replace this carpet or the floor. Someone please help me.

Has anyone you know got a wet and vac hoover? see if you can borrow one and use that to suck up the water. Or hire one.
If you hired the steam machine, go back to the shop and explain what happened, the machine must have been faulty.
Failing that the only way is to keep mopping the water up. You can buy a cloth from the supermarket (forget it’s name) that soaks up water real well. Hard work but it works.
Open all windows and doors while you are home and put on heaters to dry it up.

Question by : How to clean hardwood floor that has gotten stained from water leak?
The wool rug and pad underneath became saturated from air conditioner leaking into house rather than outside. This went on before we noticed what was happening. Now room stinks and hardwood floor is stained black. I threw rug out since it was saturated so long.

If it’s black then there is probably mold growing under and on it. I would think you’d need to replace the damaged area.
If it were just water damage, then I’d say you could refinish the area. We have hardwood floors and had an a/c unit leak too. We caught it very early and only about a 2 foot x 2 foot area was affected. It made the wood buckle a little as it dried, so that area had to be replaced anyway.

Question by SunnyD: Best way to dispose of dirty floor cleaning water?
Flush it down the toilet or dump it outside??

It depends on what you are putting in the water to clean the floors with. Use eco friendly products and either will be fine. I scrub really dirty patches of the floor with bicarbonate of soda and salt mixture. Wipe off then mop the floor with a cupful of vinegar a handful of salt in warm water. If you put this dirty water down the loo it will then help clean the loo too.

I would not do that! I’d use wood floor cleaner with a little water.

Question by : Tap water vs. distilled water in a steam mop?
I owned a shark steam mop and did NOT purchase the special distilled water required (nor the filter) and my mop exploded exactly three days after the end of the year warranty. Blew apart in the kitchen. I purchased a Bissell and now it’s making a funny, grinding noise as well. I don’t know if I can bring myself to purchase the bottled water to clean my floors. Any experiences? I don’t have hard water problems in my home.

You don’t need distilled water to clean the floor. Tap water is fine.
