my mom has a dirt devil vaccum cleaner with shampoo(er) , etc. she has lost her instructions on how to use these attachment and things…how can she get another booklet or find out exactly how to use these???please help.

probably one of the fillters is dirty or cloged. ck all of them and clean.

Here is the clog of all clogs. I made a little spoke hook tool and a wire hanger with a bend in the end to reach way down into the hoses and gently pull out all of the clogs.

Question by : how to fix my dirt devil vacuum?
I have a Dirt Devil Vacuum and I took it all apart pulled all the junk out of the hose cleaned everything out put it all back together. The belt isn’t broken, the hose is no longer clogged the motor is running but its not working I dont know what else to do.

I’ve had one of those.. Make sure the cover for the bag is placed back on perfectly. It has to snap in leaving no cracks, etc. it’s got to be perfect, or else you can go over anything and it will not suck it up…

It sort of works….but not well. Because of that I think it’d be rude to give it to Goodwill and have someone buy it assuming it works when it doesn’t totally work (suction only comes out of the hose attachment, not the actual vacuum).
I don’t want it. Don’t want to deal with it. How do I get rid of this darn thing?

My favorite will always be the broom vac. It really is a minature upright. And then comes the Lite because I like soft bags much more than the hard case ones. Only things I want are a Lite Plus and a bumper for the Lite.

Question by : Why is my Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner useless on pet hair?
This thing will pick up a bunch of things I don’t want it to – coins, small children’s toys, but passes over tufts of pet fur without disturbing the fur in the least, let alone picking it up. What’s wrong with the vacuum cleaner? Can anyone suggested a vacuum cleaner that will work on fur and hair really well? 90% of what I’m trying to clean up is fur and hair.
