In Chapter 11, there is a fork in the road, so I go down the path to see what is at the end. Open the door, and I find Juggernaut. This guy gave me quite an epic war of attrition. Location: Mah’habara – Maw of the Abyss This mofo is tough if you don’t know what to do. Here is the strategy: ▓ Bring a Saboteur. You’re only time to build up the chain to stagger him is when he does the move “Steam Clean”, when he is ridding himself of status ailments. Keep an eye out when he has status ailment(s), and he will drop both of his arms down on the team, doing some damage, then you can change to offense. ▓ You also need a Sentinel & Medic. This will mitigate the damage to the overall team. Sentinel & Medic should always be “on” until he ‘Steam Cleans’. Which means ideally your Saboteur is also your Synergist (read next). ▓ A Synergist helps a lot. In my case, it’s Sazh. Synergist needs to buff the team, and ‘Barfire’ is extremely helpful here. I always like ‘Haste’, too. The key here is to keep an eye out on the chain, because if you spend all of your time as Synergist, the chain you worked to build will drop to nothing. So even though you may already have casted an ailment on ol’ Juggy, waiting for him to ‘Steam Clean’, don’t focus on buffing too much and forget the goal. ▓ Equip Ember Rings/Fire Charms, and maybe something against Physical attacks. 1) Paradigm: Protection -Buff up all you can, while healing. 2) Paradigm: Attrition -Cast an ailment, then switch back to

  1. man.. i guess i have been training alot. i had 6000 hp when i came into this fight. it wasnt too hard for me. I used a synergist a medic and a commando in the beginning. then i just staggered him and slaughtered him… LOLZ

  2. @MrOwnagepanda the max is when it touches the other side of the screen lol, id say 8!

  3. @MrOwnagepanda The maximum ATB is six. Each character starts with three, add one when they get their Summon, one more once they level up enough, and the last when only while equipping their top-level weapons.

  4. @xburner337 nah, i actually found it out, and it’s 6

  5. Can you combat this jark after the game?, cuz I missed him and I`m already on the way to Orphan, I don`t wanna walk back all the way – wanna take him out for the prize second game

  6. On my very 2nd attempt (not knowing anything about the boss) i downed him in 40 mins, i used my chars i was playing with (not changing their roles either), i used snow (sentiel/ravager/commando) lighting (commando/medic/ravager) and hope (medic/synergest/ravager), on my first attempt i downed him to about 50% and realised he was “one” of those bosses u will come up against now and then so i decided to defeat him, on my second try i used 1 shroud -aegisol i think its called. hope this will help

  7. Thank you for showing your character stats…Yeah, I’m waaaaaaayyyyyyy too weak for this dude….

  8. b4 u battle use the aegisol and the other thing that buffs up your stats and do the strategy he tells u

  9. i beat him easy with this stategy because i did the first 17 missions and i have my weapons at *

  10. Well, I only have 4 ATB gauges/..

  11. how did you get the platinum bangle and fire charm?

  12. Keep debuffing this guy, he will be busy to cleanup himself…
Then kill him with any of your style.

  13. I made a fight easier with Hope’s Protection Spells and Fang’s Debilitating Spells. I make sure nobody dies in a fight to defeat Juggernaut.

  14. could you come back and fight him later? or is this a one shot fight

  15. could i come back later and fight him? or is this a one shot fight?

  16. It took me “only” 42 minutes to beat this guy after watching this video. =D The satisfaction after a long victorious battle is something else. In the end it was a pretty easy fight, you just need to keep your characters alive and high hp.

  17. @Sepunder yep, its an endurance battle for sure. it’s rare for games to have epic battles like this, aside from the FF series. it’s a great sense of accomplishment tho

  18. Dude if Lightning had 8 less max hp… 9:45 that would’ve been sour :p

  19. I really enjoyed watching your figth. Great strategy and lots of patient, at that level of hp was pretty impressive.

  20. @serrizo17 thanks serrizo

  21. i remembr there was another one like 1 hour later on……he was super tough compared t this guy cause he had that missile atack that decimates u

  22. Is it just me or does Sazh sound like Snow?

  23. I hate this guy so much. I was about to finish him off and had him staggered but for some reason my commando wouldn’t launch him. I saw “LAUNCH” over his head like 5 times, obviously it didn’t work. He then waltzed over and raped my face because I was in relentless assault D:

  24. @NintendoFan91593 You can go back. Later in the game you’ll see a few in your path like normal enemies. I went back to him them, and it wasn’t as hard since I had built up my HP. Also, I didn’t use a SEN. I think I’ll try that next time and see if I can get a better score, haha.

  25. wow thats good. i must admit that when i first fought him i got destroyed. i went an powered up quite a bit then returned the favor to him and his buddies further inside. way eaisier when everyone has around 3500+ hp.
